Formally named Rengeō-in temple ⎼ a national treasure, (Sanjūsangen-dō) was built in 1164 (2nd year of the reign of the Chokan Era) in the base of Toriyama by Taira-no-kiyomori. Afterwards it was promoted as Hosoji Temple by the Household Agency of Emperor Shirakawa.
