Me and Social Media 4Q2016

Social Media & Me 4Q 2016
Using a number of hits as a quantifier the last quarter 2016 was a minor success.
  • Twitter impressions reached the monthly goal of 20,000 in October, missed the target in November,.
  • October 2016 was the 10th straight month of 2K+ views for my blog. In November and December the impressions target was missed.

The other measure of influence -- how well I provide a platform for advertisers, I see that my life-long Adsense earnings have grown to US$8.81 after 26-months of blogging.

Twitter

4Q2016 began with 362 followers on Twitter, and ended with 445 followers.

Tweet Categories

Japanese & Chinese Terminology Tweets

My third wave of vocabulary tweets began on 1 September 2016. The wave is set to continued  until  October 21 -- 51 days of tweeting. This tweet series’ goal will be to drive my highest ever number of visits to my blog sites did not happen in September, but did happen in October.

A fourth wave began 31 December 2016 using new and all previous content. The tweet pattern will be two times a day for weekdays until the pre-existing content is repeated. Then, once a day with new materials.

The tweets of pre-existing materials are scheduled to repeat in 2018, 2019, and 2020. New material will repeat in 2018-2021.

Instagram

The size of my Instagram following continues to surprise me. At the end of 4Q2016 I had 1,326 followers. Apparently, the  Instagram community rewards likes consistency in posting.

YouTube

For the most part I missed my YouTube goals for 2016. In mid-November, I recognized that I was not going to meet the targets. With that recognition I held off from attempting to meet the target in the hope of having more material for 2017.

Blogger

My Blogger account had done very well in increasing traffic during 2016. October 2016 saw my highest ever number of views.

The point of it All

The point of all this social media activity is to raise my professional profile. I’ve maintained my 2016 target of a Klout Score of 60+ for 4Q2016. The quarter began with a score 60.98 ended at 60.79 with an interim high of 62.14 on 8 December 2016.

The Month’s Hyperlinks clicks to my LinkedIn profile

From Instagram: 7 clicks in 4Q2016 for an all time total of 11
From Twitter: 53 clicks in 4Q2016 for an all time total of 132

I was considering to eliminate the bit.ly hyperlinks in my profiles due to the very low 1-3Q2016. I I find  53 clicks from Twitter is a respectable quantity. So, I’ll continue using the condensed URLs.

2017 KPI Targets

  1. Monthly 20,001+ Twitter Impressions
  2. Grow Twitter followers to 600+ while increasing the ratio of Followers-to-Following from 1.611.
  3. Monthly 2,001+ impressions for the Tech Telecom Marketing & Finance blogger
  4. Continue the 1 or more Instagram posts/day. Along with the Non-KPI of hitting 2K followers on Instagram during 2017. To reach such a goal around 2 accounts/day would need to follow me.
  5. Create & post on YouTube 10 East Asian Language learning videos.
  6. Create & post on YouTube 10 Botanical and/or Art Exhibition videos.
  7. Create & post on YouTube 10 Telecommunication business themed videos.
  8. Create & post on Blogger & LinkedIn 10 Tech-Telecom-Marketing-Finance.
  9. Reach a Klout score of 63 during 2017. A non-KPI is to track my kred score along with the Klout score and what the correlation.

The matrix below will be used to keep track of the goals.
