Me & Social Media - January 2017

Social Media & Me - January 2017
Using a number of hits as a quantifier the last quarter 2016 was a minor success.
  • Twitter impressions reached their target
  • Blogger impressions reached their target.

The other measure of influence -- how well I provide a platform for advertisers, I see that my life-long Adsense earnings have grown to US$8.98. The total is not much after two and a quarter years.

Twitter

January 2017 began with 445 followers and ended with 460 with 21.1K tweet impressions in 123 tweets.

Tweet Categories

Japanese & Chinese Terminology Tweets

A fourth wave of terminology tweets began 31 December 2016 using previously shared content at a pace of ~2 tweets/day for most days and continued for all of January 2017. At the end of the month these East Asian language learning tweets were scheduled to continue through mid-day February 8.

The tweets of pre-existing materials are scheduled to repeat in 2018, 2019, and 2020. New material will repeat in 2018-2021.

Instagram

The size of my Instagram following grew to 1,439 with 3 posts every 2 days.

YouTube

I failed to add any new videos to my channels on YouTube. On January 31, I was about 60% complete with the creation of my first Chinese Language Tech, Telecom, & Finance video featuring 业.

Blogger

My Blogger postings drew 2,429 during the month. This month I feel it was the the language tweets that drove the visits. Two Tech, Telecom, Finance language learning posts and my 4Q2016 Social Media & Me report were issued.

The point of it All

The point of all this social media activity is to raise my professional profile. My  2017 target of a Klout Score of 63+ was not reached yet. My score began at 60.93 climbed to 62.51 and ended the month at 62.12.  The should be correlated month ending kred score was an influence of 667 and a outreach of 6.

The Month’s Hyperlinks clicks to my LinkedIn profile

From Instagram: 5 clicks in 4Q2016 for an all time total of 15
From Twitter: 21 clicks in January for an all time total of 146

The number of Instagram clicks are very small with the leading origins of clicks coming from the U.S., followed by Japan. The quantity of clicks from my Twitter profile URL is a reasonable number with the U.S. as the origin for over 90% of my the clicks with France as the second place originator by quantity.
