For the two weeks from 21 September 2015 through 2 October 2015 I extracted 10 Japanese technology and telecommunications terms from press releases and articles from Fujitsu, Hitachi, Nokia, NTT Communications, and the Wall Street Journal. Only 1 of the 10 terms has a kanji character, 1 is a mix of katakana and Roman characters, and 8 are written only with katakana.

The first Kanji in the main terminology is 従, a JLPT N1 Kanji. Per jisho.org the meanings of the character include accompany, obey, submit to, comply, follow, secondary, incidental, subordinate

Kun: したが.う、 したが.える、 より

On: ジュウ、 ショウ、 ジュ

Chinese: cóng with the traditional & simplified writing being the same 従
