Using a number of hits as a quantifier September 2016 was not a success.
  • Twitter impressions fell to below the monthly goal of 20,000.
  • September 2016 was the 9th straight month of 2K+ views. However, I had hoped to see my highest monthly number of impressions due to a daily word of the day posting.

The other measure of influence -- how well I provide a platform for advertisers, I see that my life-long Adsense earnings have grown to US$6.60.

Twitter

During September 2016  my tweets generated on 18.5K impressions on 99 tweets.

September began with 358 followers on Twitter and ended with 362 followers.

Tweet Categories

Japanese & Chinese Terminology Tweets

My third wave of vocabulary tweets began on 1 September 2016. The wave is set to continue through October 16. This tweet series’ goal will be to drive my highest ever number of visits to my blog sites did not happen. Last month’s hypothesis that Linkedin posts drives more traffic to my blog than a tweet drives traffic to my blog was strengthened by September’s results.

A fourth wave begins 31 December 2016 using new and all previous content. I’ve begun considering running the fourth wave as 2 tweets per day. The idea is to test whether
  • more daily tweets drives traffic, and
  • if day or night tweets drive more traffic.

Instagram

My Instagram account grew to over 988 followers by the end of August - a net increase of 92.

YouTube

In September, I published 1 flora-content driven video and 1 other video

To meet my 2016 goals so I still need to do
  • 17 flora-content driven videos based on images that first appear on Instagram
  • 12 Telecommunications’ Industry related videos
  • 12 East Asian Language videos composed of flashcard images seen on Twitter/Sina Weibo. These videos will use thematic flashcards -- such as software terms, balance sheet terms, hardware terms….

The point of it All

The point of all this social media activity is to raise my professional profile. I’ve maintained my 2016 target of a Klout Score of 60+ for all of September beginning at 60.84, ending the month at 60.98 with an intra-month high of 61.11.
